How about a long skype session on her b-day? Have her put it on a table and leave the camera on and go about her evening. Almost like being there, kinda sorta...

Now, as to otherworldly music... if you've ever heard a didgeridoo, you may begin to question whether the Australian Aborigines are originally from Earth...
I once met a nurse who did didgeridoo massages, I am not making this up.....LOL!

I do appreciate belly dancing, amazing when they make the stomach roll all the way to to the Yayas.

Well anytime you wanna come pick some... They are actually the 'security fence' between our backyard and the crappy apartment complex behind us. Works like a charm!

My hub had the disk replacement on his neck back in may. Same kind of deal, pulled all the bits out through the front of the neck. He's doing spectacular now. Tell her to hang in there, it will get better!!

Default Its the most wonderful time of the year!!

Well today is the day I have been waiting for since November 30, 2009,
Today, we go into HUNTING CAMP!!!

The wife and I and some friends, some old, some new, will be spending a week at the cabin hunting, eating, and B.S.ing for a week.

No Power, no phones, the only running water is when you run to the crick with a bucket

Beautiful area, usually lots of critters, lots of food and friends, with no outside interferance from the world at large, What could be better??

I do have to fix the chimney on the wood stove or it will be REALLY cool LOL!!

See you all when I get back.

Keep an eye on the cousins

Haha, I lived in a place like that for a few years... "Running water? Sure I've got running water. It runs by in the ditch, what more do you want??"

Speaking of water. I go up on the mountain and get spring water to use here at the cabin. Here are some pics. They include:

Top looking down.
Steamboat Spring is located nearby.
Trail head with my 4 wheeler loaded with jugs.
Spring itself.

It's an 18.5 mile ride my from house to the spring. So it makes for a good 4 wheeler ride. Plus, the dog loves it. From the trail head it's a short hike back to the spring.

Silvertip, have a great time--hope it won't be too depressing to have to return...

Speaking of mountain springs, a few years ago we visited the Desert Tower in the mountains at the edge of the desert on I-8 between San Diego and El Centro. Big sign at the tower indicating the trail to Desert Springs (which we hadn't heard of), and I love visiting springs, so off we went, up a steep trail into the rocky hills. Fortunately it was in winter, with nice temps of around 75F, otherwise it would have been hellishly hot. What we didn't understand was why the trail kept going up and up, because we expected the springs to be in a canyon. But no, the springs were indeed at the rocky peak! And here they are!

The caretaker of the Desert Tower has a sense of humor...
