Sounds like one I made that involved eggs, milk, canned mushrooms, random scraps of cheese, dehydrated onions, and bacon grease. It looked like cat barf, but it tasted great!

Today was one of those perfect fall days. It only got up to 70. But it got up to 70 very quickly and then stayed there all day. Here it is, 5:30 and it's still 70. No wind, no clouds, just perfect.

I like fall days better then spring days. Spring days disappoint you, where fall days might get a little chilly but you know it will get better.

7 more days, the cast comes off.

Yes Res, whatever you have to be able to throw in it. Just can't be mundane and have simple things like onions and bacon and cheese. I bought some squash, yellow type, when cut it's about 2.5 inches across and 3/8 inch thick. I coat it with a little corn meal and fry it in a hot pan. Then slice it into 1/4 inch slices and throw it in the omelette. Surprisingly comes out really good.

Doc said I needed more veggies. I eat veggies at lunch and supper, but other then hashbrowns haven't been eating anything at breakfast. So I started experimenting with anything and everything. Haven't tried brussel sprouts for breakfast yet though. Although, unlike some past Presidents, I really like brussel sprouts and get a couple bags of frozen brussels every month. 2 lb bags. And I can't figure out what the Dr says about that. On average, I buy 10+ pounds of veggies every month. For one person, you'd think that would be plenty. That doesn't count the veggies out of the garden or potatoes.

This may sound odd, but every now and again I actually like a salad in the morning. Kinda greases the pipes for the day.

Albeit it has bacon and hard boiled egg in it, but it's a salad nonetheless.

It has already snowed in many places in Montana and Wyoming. However, it's not time for snow tires yet. I have traveled Montana Highways for a lot of years, professionally in a Ford Van, GMC Mini Van, Suburban, hauling railroaders. I've made runs at night, during the day, etc, from Sheridan Wyoming to Laurel or Foresyth and all points in between. You chase down the train to swap crews. So there are a lot of county roads, gravel roads, two track roads, opening gates, going through fields, to swap crews. None of those vehicles had snow tires. Didn't use them. Only the Suburban had all weather tires. The others had Cooper street tires. Never got stuck in Montana.

Unlike some folks we know I find they help on iffy roads, especially with unbalanced vehicles. My preference is studded snow tires on all four wheels... when I did that, I couldn't even make my old car slide, even on glare ice.

I think I need a heater "thing" in my car. I really don't understand folks here. When it is -30, that means you should stay home, and drink cocoa. People here actually leave the house! And they expect you to be at work!!!

So what's your point?

PS - Why would anyone take their snow tires off?
