I like fall days better then spring days. Spring days disappoint you, where fall days might get a little chilly but you know it will get better.

7 more days, the cast comes off.

Yes Res, whatever you have to be able to throw in it. Just can't be mundane and have simple things like onions and bacon and cheese. I bought some squash, yellow type, when cut it's about 2.5 inches across and 3/8 inch thick. I coat it with a little corn meal and fry it in a hot pan. Then slice it into 1/4 inch slices and throw it in the omelette. Surprisingly comes out really good.

Doc said I needed more veggies. I eat veggies at lunch and supper, but other then hashbrowns haven't been eating anything at breakfast. So I started experimenting with anything and everything. Haven't tried brussel sprouts for breakfast yet though. Although, unlike some past Presidents, I really like brussel sprouts and get a couple bags of frozen brussels every month. 2 lb bags. And I can't figure out what the Dr says about that. On average, I buy 10+ pounds of veggies every month. For one person, you'd think that would be plenty. That doesn't count the veggies out of the garden or potatoes.
I am of the opinion that a doctor will just say anything to say something. The ole more vegs conversation is a fall back maneuver when he is really thinking about the last golf score...
EH you sound like you are doing well, sometimes things just take time. Timber is your best medicine.
On a sadder note my best friend back home had to but her Border Collie down, I was surprised that I had a tear, a good dog that I knew since her puppy days 12 years ago.
Our canines do much for our souls.

So there are a lot of county roads, gravel roads, two track roads, opening gates, going through fields, to swap crews. None of those vehicles had snow tires. Didn't use them. Only the Suburban had all weather tires. The others had Cooper street tires. Never got stuck in Montana.
Yep same here on the east, never use them...

Kind of funny. With my heavy boot on my left foot, I can walk just fine because they are the same height. However, this morning in the shower, all I could do is walk around in circles.

Stairs are no problems with the hand rails. However, I went over to the neighbors house earlier and they don't have rails and they have concrete steps. That was a real challenge and I almost become a yard dart.

It's a walking cast. The first one I had they had the bottom plate on at a little different angle. When I set the foot down flat, the cast leaned back a little bit so when I stood up straight, my leg was hyperextended and the top front of the cast dug into my shin. But Monday, when I went in and got the new one, I pointed that out. She made sure it was a better angle and this one feels no different then if I had my boot on. Very comfortable, so real easy to walk on.

I love my porch and spend hours out there every day. Either in the morning, drinking a cup of coffee, or in the evening watching the deer play about 50-60 ft from the porch. I've had turkeys, deer, moose, elk, blackbear, and mountain lion between me and the fence that is about 100 ft away. Only one moose though. It had evidentally wandered off it's normal territory. It's the only one seen here in the last 17 years.

Edit - Notice the sun flower? That's a volunteer that is a result of my bird feeder on top of that post. hahaha I'm going to cut it off next week and take it into town for my Grand Daughter to take to preschool class for show and tell. Every time she comes out here she stands and stares at that sunflower. Not sure what it is, but she is mesmorized by it. But I have to spray it down first because it's full of wasps. I could see that going into the classroom with a dozen wasps on it.

Love that video! (The cows were a more respectful audience than the humans.)
