Drove right by you today. We went to Colorado for my brother in laws wedding, left on Thursday night. Stayed in Sheridan then drove through Friday, left this morning from Estes Park CO and made it back to Helena MT in 11 hours. Drove across the Tongue and other points. Saw a lot of hunters off the highway in WY- I suppose antelope.

Going to Great Falls Wednesday, then Big Sky Wednesday night-Thurs, then Westby MT Saturday, to Havre next Tuesday and Wednesday. If I play my cards right, I can hit most counties in Montana in the month of October.

I think I need to bring my camera. And my hunting gear!

Man, I wish I would have known that. Would have made you stop and stretch your legs so I could buy you a cup of coffee. Next time, you must let me know. We'll have a cup of coffee and maybe a piece of pie. The local restaurant serves up some damn fine pie.

It is a great drive. I didn't see any deer today but normally I do. Wasn't paying attention to critters. hahahaha In foul weather, there is another route that takes me another 5 or 6 miles, but it's all gravel so a little more passable.

It's the little things in life and cruising down that road is one of them. I love it.

Came home via 89 to rt 12 through the canyon near White Suplhur Springs. Saw a young bull moose kicking up his heels and being goofy as hell in a pasture right nbefore you enter the canyon. He was as black as pitch and had little horns- too cute.

There were horses standing on top of the hill watching him like "WTF are you doing goofball?"

My wife got some video of him- I'll see if I can get it posted in the near future.

WOW EH nice views!!!!! Move over Timber..me en Bruno gonna come visit. LOL
That crazy dog of mine has realized he can jump the fence. Grrr good thing I had put him on a cable before I left this morning. Came back and he was sitting in the drive way wagging his tail!
Left the cable on him and its a good thing I did because he jumped it 2 more times.
Hope to get a job soon so I can get him one of those chain link fence type kennels.
So far he has managed to destroy 2 Coleman air beds, 1 patio chair, 1 dog bed, 3 throw rugs, 1 tennis ball, bungee cord and a hose pipe! And learned to jump the fence.....All within a week!!!!
Went to store with mom late in the evening.. was almost dark .. she had to slam on brakes because a deer decided to stroll across the highway.
Saw a nice buck on the side of the road on the way back home. He had a nice rack on him too. Beautiful animal.
Filled mom's wood box up with firewood yesterday. There is a load in the front yard that needs to be split. Need a chainsaw as its too hard and of all the power tools I know how to use.. chainsaw is not one of them.
I'm not even gonna attempt to try to swing an axe (its hard wood). I havent had to do much physical labor in 6 years, I am way out of shape and overweight with high BP... dont need a heart attack.
Maybe I should just turn Bruno loose on that pile of wood.. hmmm? LOL

EH I sure hope your toe/foot is getting better. Still wishing you the best. Give Timber a hug and pat from me. She sure is a pretty thing.

Greetings to everyone else. Hope ya'll have a great day!

So here are some pictures of my trip today. I love it. Wouldn't trade it for nothing. Timber loves it to. You will notice that it's a dirt road. Not gravel, but dirt. When the weather is bad, it can get nasty.

Timber keeping up. Was doing 22 mph at the time.

Here is the super Highway that I travel to town on. Notice the lane's and passing zones.

New cattle guard they installed. There are 3 new ones.

There is about 8 miles of this road before it becomes gravel. Then it's cruising big time.
Any rattlesnakes?
