Yeah. To get a hotel room in Miles City, you need to make a reservation 6 weeks in advance. I found that out today.

New airline, Silver Airways, RT to Miles City from Helena...$248. From Helena to Billings, they are running a special for May, $150 RT.

I have to appologize. I went to town today and didn't take pictures. I promised to take a picture of the sign that said "No Spray" and I forgot until I was going by it and thought, "Damn, I gotta get a picture of that on the way home." Yeah, right. I remembered after I got home. hahahaha

Had a Dr appointment and drove the 4 wheeler to town. I had my doubts when I got up this morning and it was only 44 degrees. But by 8am it was up to 60 so I just layered up and headed to town on the 4 wheeler. Of course, when I say I layered up, I had on a t-shirt and I layered with a long sleeve shirt. It wasn't so much a matter of the chill, it was a matter of the bugs smacking me. I went South on Wolf Creek and it was chilly, but when I turned East on Soldier Creek I was facing the sun and I was nice and toast. Cracked the throatle and kicked it up to 45. hahaha Was a good trip.

It's a bit chilly up here in Lincoln, wanting to rain. I love the sound of Spring thunder. Wanted to get a Spring tune up done on one of our horses who came back from winter pasture full of **** and vinagar but don't feel like landing in the mud. Going pike fishing this weekend so I guess I'll get the gear ready.

Elkhunter, how did the Missouri look when you were by Wolf Creek? Is it pretty high?

Being an old Navy guy, I've got to say that Wolf Creek wouldn't quite float the Missouri. hahahahaha But it was close.

Actually, Wolf Creek is up by 8 inches and Tongue River is up by 18 inches as off 5:30. We are about 18 inches from the Tongue coming over the top. Wolf Creek is already over the banks in a couple spots, however it is out in pasture land nad not close to town.

There are old sailors lurkering on the porch and this will rally them. "Single up".

Good morning neighbors! Not much going on but I have some serious spring fever. Coming over to the western side has me once again looking at plants, just got to remember they require time and attention.
Oh BTW I saw my moose on the way to Eureka the other day. Just standing by the road, yes I was hanging out of the pick up with my camera like a tourist.

I served on the "Vincon" (CVN-70) and the "S***y Kitty" (CV-63) myself, (really learned to dislike duty on a Birdfarm), but I did visit the "Missouri" while I was stationed in Pearl working on the 788 fast attack "Chicago" refit. (no I wasn't a Bubblehead, but was attached to ComSubGroup 7 for a while).

I haven't heard that term in a long time, usually used by a "Deck Ape" if I remember correctly.
I was a "Twidgit" myself

What's the Scuttlebutt? Are we going somewhere?? The weather (except for today with a cold wind and possible snow) has finally been pretty good.

I tweaked a few boxes for some birds back in the day. Always shore duty, (Including Adak) though, - nothing permanent on big, gray and underway.
