You do know that skiing is the major cause of empty pockets and broken legs?

I've been fighting with doctors for 2 years about my knee and now they want to replace it, this winter. WTH???? Why couldn't they do it in the summer when I can get out and use it? I think it's an evil, sinester plot.

Default We need it.

I want to get back on some skis and do a bit of carving out some fresh tracks.

If you are planning on driving around Helena today....DON'T!!

When it started snowing yesterday the snow was melting, then the city slimed the streets instead of plowing, then another 8+ inches fell, the temperature dropped, and now we have a large rough skating rink instead of roads.

I had to put the truck in 4 wheel drive just to get out of East Helena and up on the highway, and the highway is so slick and so much snow on it you can barely make 30-35 mph without getting thrown across the road by the snow and ice.

It was 19 degrees at the house, that woodstove sure felt nice

To all the skiers out there ....
Momma always said, if you can't say something nice...

At least the snow is better than the fires we had all summer....I think, and maybe the snow will start moving some game around so the hunting will get better. It has sure sucked rocks up till now

I'm in the mountains south of Helena in Boulder right now. Elk camp with 12" snow and more coming. Sure is nice in the truck camper with sausage and eggs cooking right now!

Wife called. Power is out in North Hills and at the house, the kids bus hasn't made it to school yet and wife can't open the garage door herself. She is wishing she was with me at the moment, lol.

Stay safe!

Right now I'm hunting for whatever walks by the camper, lol. There are 150 elk in Boulder Valley. Hoping some more come out from high country after the storm lets up.
