Just checked the PWS site (on Weather Under Ground) for my immediate area.............says Minus 5.0 F.

It looks like no warm up from what we've had the last 72 hours until about 5 to 7 days down the road..........

Its now -12° and my candy ass dog didn't want to go out for the finale time so i could go to bed I had to put her sweater on her, and. then go out with her. Course I'm wearing t-shirts, shorts and slippers. Damn, this candy ass old man didn't want to go out there either. But if I at least go out on the open porch and stand at the top of the stairs, she headed out and did her business. She's trained to go about 100 feet out to this grassy area, and that's where she headed. Next shell want her boots and goggles just to go out and pee. hahahaha

I had leftover spaghetti tonight and Ive got to say it was better than when I originally made it.

I put together my sauce and while it was simmering, I cut up and browned some elk sausage. I also browned a pound if deer burger. I added the elk sausage and deer to my sauce and let it simmer for 4 hours before I cooked the spaghetti. Turned out great but the leftovers were even better.

It's interesting that you think it's better as left-overs the next day or so.
I have felt the same thing for many years.
If I make my initial tomato/meat sauce with ground beef, I then will throw in some fried-up Italian saugage
when I use-up the left-overs............and I always think it is better tasting the 2nd or 3rd day................Oh, and I heat it up (that 2nd or 3rd day) in the frying pan that I used to fry up the Italian Saugage, not a pot.

Goulosh is another one that is good the second or third time. I cook the whole thing on the stove, not microwave, even if him only going to have a little bit, because each time you cook it, it adds flavor.

Same with lasagna. I prefer to not even touch it until the second day. Let it sit out after it cooks until it gets to room temp, refrigerate and enjoy days 2-3

Of all things. Some bastard stole the American Flag off the front of my cabin early this morning. About 5:15, I heard a clunk clunk on my steps. Neighbor dog comes up my steps every now and then, so I didn't think much of it. About 30 minutes later I got up to let Timber out. My flag is gone. I have only had it about a month. Good quality cotton, 3x5 flag with embroidered stars. Hope God has mercy on his sole,, because if I find out who did it, I won't take any mercy. I have no tolerance for a their.

Now you don't!

It was 1 degree when I took those photos. Two yearlings sleeping near our back retaining wall trying to get some radiant heat..

Nope. I need to find a small iron kettle to make small batches.. My neighbor slaughters hogs, so I should be able to get all the bones, liver, hearts, kidneys and heads that I need..

Just need to find that small kettle...

Edit- Okay guys- You help me find a small iron kettle, and I'll make ponhaus this winter and deliver it. Wanna bet I won't?!
