I am trying to figure out why I am drawn to the Montana porch. I've never been to Montana, but you all (that's y'all where I'm from) are so interesting and laidback. I always come here to lurk to see what you're eating or talking about and whatnot.

Maybe I'll put Montana on my list of places to visit in 2011. Happy New Year, all!!!

Im with you on that one cocomojo - I am all the way in England, but I am constantly drawn to the MT section. Really enjoying the input from people who seem so down to earth and welcoming. You all had me looking on jobsites for work in MT!! (watch this space...) Happy New Year to everyone.

I'm also not from Montana, although I did visit Montana and Wyoming last summer Everyone is so welcoming and down to earth. I've already been to Home Depot this morning to get some paint. Gonna paint one of my doors. It is supposed to be up to 76 today! Finally, some warm weather.

Happy New Years Day to everyone, great to see some new posters and wonderful to hear from our regulars.
-19 on my porch, no wind thankfully.
I am making pot roast or as Martha calls it.

Default Happie Knew Yeer Ya'll ~♥~

Happy new year to all and welcome to the visiting porch to the recent arrivals.
We may have to squeeze the rocking chairs together a bit and perhaps contemplate building an add on complete with a joggling board for the youngsters for the sparking.
We have another mostly sunny day today at least for the morning. It often is clear in the morning here and then some clouds roll in by noon just to have something for us to look at between the blue patches.
I looked out our window and saw the power lines all built up with ice and bouncing up and down about 7 or 8 inches. There is no wind so I guess the bouncing is coming from ice, snow and tree branches hitting the lines.
I expect us to have a power outage or two while these lines are burdened down with all that weight.
See picture below I took a few minutes ago.
