I know what you mean, but think about this. You can be tracked a lot of other ways, just takes time.

Every year I go to the courthouse and purchase the County Tag listing. $5 gets me a book that shows every license plate listed and who owns them, to include address and phone number (if listed).

Do you have an unlisted number? I can get it too. When you pay extra to NOT have your phone number listed, it's simply not in the free, delivered to everybody's door, phone book. But I can go to the local telephone office and purchase the book of unlisted numbers. Being unlisted, simply means your not listed in the normal book. Doesn't mean it's private and can't be handed out to anybody.

In most places, you can go to the County, or City building and do a property search to find out who owns what. And in a lot of places, I can look up how much you pay in taxes on the place.

I could go on. But you get my drift. We're in a different world these days. It's getting to the point that it's no longer private.

As far as Facebook is concerned, it's no safer or more dangerous than simply having an email address.

It seems that the oil would make it all soggy but after you let it sit a day or two and shake it four or five times you get a yummy snack. Divide it up into little bags for portion control...
That does look easy enough. Did you just let it set 2 days, periodically shaking it up?

With 13 grandkids, I'm always looking for easy things to have setting around. How long would it keep in zip lock baggies, or do you know?

yep, about two days.
you can go with just pretzels if you like.
I had it keep two weeks. Believe me it will not last that long before someone eats it. The oil just absorbs in and you do not have a greasy finger at all..
Alright, do not insert a joke here...

BTW FB is fun but you have to just treat it like you are on the national news...do not say or post anything you might regret because your employer is looking..

Oh EH, 13? Congratulations!

But, unpublished numbers, which cost more than an unlisted number, are not even available to the operator.

There is a back-door secret to getting a no-cost unpublished number:

List the number under an alternative name, different from the name that appears on the monthly telephone company bill.

The alternative name will appear in the published telephone listing, and when someone calls asking for the "alternative name", just reply, "Not here at this time."

About that weak site "Spokeo", I searched for our names in all forms and we are not on their radar. We don't exist to them.
I know if I wanted to snoop on someone I can do it with much more current accuracy than that weak site, by myself with what is on the internet.
All I wanted to do was make everyone out there aware of what can be done! I didn't find my name per say but hubby's was there in full value. I use Facebook BUT I am VERY limited on what I put on any of my information. It seems if you have a phone number you are out there for public viewing. So I know that big brother is watching us. Google is one big info gathering network a well. We just must be leary and careful as what we put on the internet and be aware that it's difficult to remove.

All exactly true. Including what we write in forums like this one.

That's right. If you google your screen name, it will come up with all your posts you've made.

I do that occasionally when I can't find some post that I want to refer back to. It's more flexible than the C-D search, tho sometimes you'll get a bunch of junk results as well. Easily ignored.

The key to this whole deal is don't worry about it until you have to. If at some point you have to worry then you have to completely drop off the grid. No bills in your name, no credit cards, no nothing. Everything in cash, land in someone else's name etc.
Look up how to disappear on google...
