Actually looking at the area - Wolf Point, Plentywood, Glasgow - my husband has been interviewing for several jobs in Eastern Montana, and this is one of the areas.

If I was going to live in Eastern Montana I would probably pick Miles City or Glendive. Any possibilities there?

Definitely bring your own job or have one lined up before you make the move. The local paper is The Herald-News. I'm afraid I didn't see much of help in their online edition though.
Wolf Point is largely an agricultural community, situated on the north side of the Missouri River. Local shopping is limited, lot's of folks there go to Williston, ND for their major shopping trips, Williston has a Wal-Mart and a good selection of other shopping, plus you can usually avoid paying the North Dakota sales tax if you are a Montana resident.
Housing selections are kind of limited from what I have seen, whatever you can find in town or outside of town. I have noticed that a few folks have set up their housing on the south side of the river in McCone County, off the reservation.

This is a big area and there are real differences in the schools, do you have children?
You need to understand the dynamics of the native american population. Wolf point would be my last choice of the three cities you mentioned.
