Wow, that's really cool! Always fun to find a famous person in your lineage!

A friend tracked my ancestry on my dad's side, which I'd known nothing about. My great-granddad turned out to be a famous preacher who'd helped set up a lot of churches in Idaho (maybe some in Montana too). And a bunch of my ancesters proved to be Welshmen. Well, that explained a lot

Pedigrees are sometimes wrong, tho... I was told this funny tale by an expert on Indian genealogy (who has traced some lines back to Viking ancestors!): She gave a presentation at a meeting of some group like "Daughters of the Pilgrims" and afterward someone came up to her, pedigree in hand, and proudly informed the expert that she was descended from Famous Pilgrim Woman (I forget all the names).

Mary the expert says to her, "No, you're not."

Daughter-of-the-Pilgrims-type insists she IS SO, in fact she insists she is a Purebred Pilgrim, with much waving of paperwork.

Mary says, "No, you're not. Famous Pilgrim Woman was sterile; she adopted 13 Indian children!"

Your absolutely right!!!

There are about 20,000,000 people in California with 20,000,000 different situations. Most are not native Californians as most Montanans are not natives. Jobs, health, and family make the US a very transient country allowing us to come and go and live where we want.

Wealthy and rich are very relative. You can have all the money in the world, but if you don't have "time" you have nothing. Time to enjoy your friends, family, and the great things we have around us.

We also have the freedom to choose what we want to do in our free time and where to do it. If someone from California chooses to spend their free time enjoying our state it is their right as an American. If buying property enables them to do this, that is also their right.

We can sit around and complain, but complaining is not going to change anything. As our country gets more crowded, open spaces like Montana will start to fill. We don't have to like it, but should learn to accept it.
