I think everyone needs to quit complaining and live with it! Its a free country, so people can move to anywhere in the USA that they want to. They also can do what they want with their property. If you don't like it, look the other way or maybe you can just move, if you don't like it. It's always going to happen and thats just life! Canada is just jealous of America and always will be! I am so sick of hearing people ***** on here. Just shut up about it already. I never heard anyone complain this much. SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!

Dustin,
I think you are confussing 'concern' with 'complaint' - I think people are just expressing their concerns. Different people have different points of view, it's good and healthy to air them - perhaps we'll all come away with a better understand of earch other, but the answer is not, if I might quote you - "SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP"

Just for everyone's information I plan on moving to MT within the next year or two... My family is actually from Browning but throughout the years (before I was born) moved here to the Seattle area... My Dad recently (3yrs ago now) moved to Wolf Creek and I have visited him every summer since... I actually plan on moving in with him for a year maybe to get a decent job as he and his wife are never home, they are on the road working all the time...

You may ask why I want to move to MT and away from the big city... Well, to be honest, I'm tired of the big city life, the traffic, crime, people (bad people in general) the run-run Git-R-Done style... I work in the medical field and I just don't like it anymore, been doing it for 7yrs and don't feel appreciated all that much in what I do, when in turn it saves lives, or harms life if I screw up...

I've grew up loving the Great Outdoors and spend my entire summer camping, fishing, hiking, riding motorcycles, and I'm basically ready to start over, start fresh in a more simple setting... Am I rich, hell no I'm not rich but I know how to work hard to get what I want...

I also want to be closer to my Dad again like when he lived here with me, family is very important to me and well I go where he does I guess, so be ready for me in a couple years...

Wow....and I thought that we coloradoans disliked outsiders....you montanans take xenophobia to a whole new level....we in colorado have been dealing first with the Texans and now the Californians who have come to our state in droves..one thing about the west..we still have plenty of room for a lot more people....and they will come!!!! There are ways of minimizing the impact of population increases...ways that are much better than whining about it....but it does take political courage to resist the developers...and those are your real enemies and they probably are NOT from montana....vote for leaders who will make development pay its own way...make developers pay for infrastructure....restrict rezonings....require that lot sizes are larger than postage stamps....require green zones in and around development.....being against all regulation may sound like it is defending freedom and personal property rights...but it can also be self defeating....I also love montana....went camping there when i was young and really love the Big Sky country...

You have hit it on the head, instead of despising all the people coming here and wailing about all of the developement and sprawl use that energy to get the county councils and city councils to implement policies you agree with. Or, keep complaining on places like this which doesn't really acomplish much except making those of us who live here look ignorant, and the mess will continue.
your choice.....

It is everywhere, not just in Montana.

Kudos to you for speaking up for preserving your state.

The state I live in, it is happening too.

This country WE live in, it is happening to.

This country that the Native Americans lived in, it happened to them too.

Wait...didn't you say someone else that you thought that those that come in and change a place was the primary reason for resentment towards newcomers?

Again I say that everyone is slowly being crowded into a corner in the country because there are too many people. After growing up in the Washington, DC area and living in CA and FL, I've seen the good life exchanged for gangs, sprawl, and political correctness. Thus, the search goes on for those of us who desire some peace and quiet with a little space. Little by little, the corner is getting more crowded!
