What amenities are you looking for? A town that has almost anything you need, or at least one close by? What kinds of recreation do you enjoy? I could give you some idea of places if I knew more what you're looking for. Do you have a housing budget in mind? How about schools, colleges, jobs, etc.? With more info I think I could really help you out! I'd love to!!!!

We will more then likely homeschool.
Recreation - honestly just about anything to do with the outdoors. We go hiking/exploring at least 3 - 4 times a week here. Anything along those lines (camping, fishing, snowshoeing, kayaking, etc. etc.)
Town large enough nearby to find work in (we are skilled in several areas and can usually find work anywhere as long as the economy is not severely depressed).
Housing budget is the kicker. Because of our chosen lifestyle we prefer not to be tied down by a larger mortgage (up to 100K). We would actually prefer to find affordable land and build our own home, paying as we go. So I guess looser zoning laws would be more important to us then anything.
I actually enjoy occasionally taking a college course or two for my own personal enjoyment/enrichment but that is far down the list of priorities.
We would prefer not to be more then 3 - 5 hours away from the whitefish/kalispell area for easier access to wifes family there.
We don't care about the normal city conveniences (don't like shopping, don't normally go out to eat, haven't been to a movie theatre in years, etc. etc.)
That is everything I can think of for now
