I just moved to MT. I am a high risk pregnancy and expecting my 1st child. We live in the east side of the state. I have some flexibility as to what hospitals I can go to. What hospitals would you recommend? What would you not recommend? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The "east side of the state" covers a huge area. Can you be more specific? Most of the eastern Montana towns are small, and the hospitals are pretty basic. If you're in the proximity of Billings and that's an option, that's where I would go if I was high risk.

Either Billings Clinic or St. Vincents in Billings. Probably the latter.

If you live a way from Billings remember Billings Clinic and St Vicents are the major medical center for Montana, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, and Southern Canada. Top medical facilities.

They own and keep a helicopter ready to go, for up to 150 miles, and three large Twin Engine planes ready to go to take care of the emergencies in their territory. Very unusual anywhere, in the U.S. as most places you have to rent a plane/helicopter from some rental service. Great to know if you are a high risk patient, and cannot be in Billings at delivery time.
