We'll be in the area - whereabouts in Bigfork? Is there a central location, or just anywhere overlooking the lake?

About fireworks - back when a friend (former Montana resident) found out we moved to Montana, he "warned" us about the dangerous fireworks. I thought, "Man, Montana just keeps getting better and better!"

Marco172 is on a distinguished road
Went through Philipsburg. It's having sewer problems. Streets ripped up and prices rediculous. It took me longer to site see through their tourist paper than actually going through the town. More fun and more to see and shop in Butte. BTW I heard the town needs money so it's ticket haven against tourists. If you want to visit Georgetown Lake go through Anaconda. More scenic route and less cops.

There is a really fun parade that starts at 11 am downtown. The fire dept usually has a free bbq afterwards. You can head to the lake after that until it starts to get dark- then there are several firework shows going on all over Bigfork.

Default Fireworks

If you want fireworks, no place beats East Helena.

Personal fireworks are legal in city limits, and there is a large display put on by the VFW.

The personal fireworks from all the refugees from Helena and the citizens of East Helena all going off for HOURS is unmatched anywhere I have ever been.
If you get on a hill above town, the entire city glows like a huge fire going off!

The highway through town is lined with cars, all the city streets are free fire zones, the fun is almost overwhelming!

Helena refuses to celebrate the Fourth of July, But EAST Helena makes up for it in spades!! The 4th of July in East Helena is comparable to St Patricks day in Butte, not just a Holiday, it is an experience!!
