My wife and I make a few trips up to Billings and about every other one we make time to go in the Antique shops. On our last trip a couple months ago we went to the usual stop on the south east side of there. I can't remember the exact names, but it's by the bus stop and men's shelter area. It was a big three floor place and had a couple of others nearby. They weren't there. Did they move? Are there other places? We didn't find ones in the motel phone book. Just asking as this was one of the things we looked forward to on the trip. I figured I'd ask the people on here for help.
Oh, and my wifey had a fit when she found out she couldn't smoke and gamble at the same time up there. I guess it's a good thing but these states doing this should have a few places that you can smoke in while enjoying your self. I am a ex smoker and do know the enjoyment of it.

Welcome to the forum. Without knowing what type of antiques you are looking for the answer could be elusive. I went to an antique show in Missoula in May and a furniture dealer, D'Molms Antique was there, from Billings, amongst others. The address on the card says 4102 Jansma. He specializes in quatersawn oak, or library styled furniture. Stickley tends to make it with this older style look, too. He had some great restored furniture but I was looking for a window seat or occasional table. His stuff was larger. Otherwise, the people on the forum that live over on the eastern side of the state should be able to help you with this question.

The place you're talking about sounds like "The Oxford Hotel" on Montana Ave, about N. 24th-25th St. or Antique Depot on corner of Montana Ave. and about N. 22d St. Might have been Granny's Attic on Minnesota and about N 28th St. There's one on the NW corner of 1st Ave. N and N. 29th St. There was another just a few stores north of that on 29th., but not sure if it's still there. Many are now closed. Go to any one, and ask about others. There used to be more than there are now. Might be some out on the West End. The key is to ask. Sorry I can't tell you more. They come and go. My wife and I used to haunt them frequently, but we're full upnow, so haven't kept up to date!

Cool, it was Granny's attic. And most around there are closed. The ones still open a couple blocks to the north of there are somewhat expensive and in a couple is mostly cheap knock off junk. The types we mostly look for are lamps, dish sets and montana era stuff. I look for old tools, machines, stoves etc. Oh well I guess we just have to look closer for more shops in town. Thanks for the help.

......Hey Shadowwalker........................

For what it is worth:................Starting tomorrow (Aug 5th and through Aug 7th)......the Annual Missoula ANTIQUE & GUN SHOW is again being held at the U of M Adams Center.

This is the largest show of this type in the state of Montana. Over 800 tables!

You may find it's like "putting a kid in a Candy Store!"

Granny's Attic is a great place to spend several hours.
