I would choose ID over MT. The only reason we moved over here from ID was that my daughter convinced me that we were in need of help. Plus my 3 grand kids was the main reason for me :-) Given the over all cost of living ID is a lot better. Just watch what counties. MT everything is high except wages if you have to work or lucky enough to find a job.

PS: MommaS, Been through Adin, Agency Lake and all around. I know where it is and love that kind of area for living, just no jobs

I don't think I would agree that west of the Divide in Montana is like Western Oregon. It isn't as rainy. I do agree that east of the divide is like Bend and eastern Wyoming is certainly like eastern Oregon. It's strange how the eastern side of most states seems to be the less scenic side.
