Whitehall, Montana anyone?
Hi There!
I'm coming back to my roots - I was born and raised in Butte and left for a number of years to pursue my education and work experience. I've got to say that even here in Nevada, we heard all about the "Boom" in Montana. Being ever-protective of my beloved home state, I shuddered every time I heard about it being "Californicated". It was sad to hear that my family members can no longer hunt or fish on the very grounds my grandfather taught them on years ago. The land has been bought up. That being said, my husband & I will be coming back to MT soon. We will be moving to Whitehall. Does anyone have some input or thoughts on people moving to Whitehall? My case is a little different - as we are moving in to property that has been in my family for decades. Don't be afraid to express yourselves. The greed and avarice that we are exposed to here CAN be stopped at the Montana border! Protect Montana!!

We moved to Whitehall about 5 years ago and love it. We bought the Pipestone RV Park and sold it this past April. We've now moved out to Cardwell. What exactly do you want to know? It has that very small town atmosphere. They've put in a new swimming pool.

Thank You for your response. Congratulations on your sale.
Reading posts from past writers, it seems that some are quite upset with the current of people flowing in to the state. I'd like to know, in your experience, if there was a general thought or general posture held by the folks in Whitehall on this particular subject?

Not at all. I firmly believe you find whatever you're looking for. I'm the one who felt a little out of place. I came from Mississippi and I can't hide this 50+ year old accent. I'm sure some people think I'm just visiting or traveling through. And I guess I'll always be asked *where are you from*, when I say here, they say *where did you come here from*.

Hi! I am originally from Montana but have been stuck in Arizona for a couple years now. I am moving back and have been considering buying a business in Whitehall called Bordons.hotel, restaurant and bar. Do you know anything about this place? I am going over to look at it in about two months, but some insite would be helpful. Thanks

I thought they turned it into some sort of museum. I didn't think it was still a restaurant.
