The Bozeman Police Department reports for Wednesday included the following:
  • A U-Haul trailer attached to a car on Willson Avenue had its lights on. After unsuccessfully trying to find the owner, an officer unplugged the trailer from the car in order to save the car’s battery.
  • A man who was arrested the previous night believed his fiancée’s wallet was still in a patrol car.
  • Two small dogs were running loose on Forest Glen Drive. One defecated in a field. When animal control got out of a truck to check ID tags, the dogs were “aggressive ankle biters.” The dogs’ owner came out of her house and let the dogs in. She said she always lets them out to poop unsupervised. She was cited.
  • A woman reported that as her 12-year-old son was riding a skateboard outside, a woman in a truck slowed down as she passed, stuck a camera out of the truck and took a photo of the boy.
  • Former roommates who are moving out say they both owe each other money. One roommate tried to take items until the money was paid. The items were returned. They were told to go to civil court over the money.
The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Wednesday included the following:
  • A person found a deputy’s ticket book in the road.
  • A report of a wildland fire was actually low clouds.
  • A person who reported finding a syringe in a neighbor’s yard was told to stay out of the neighbor’s yard.

The Bozeman Police Department reports for Thursday included the following:
  • An officer tried to warn a woman for letting her kids reach their arms into another woman’s property to retrieve gopher poison.
  • Dispatch received a 911 call from a pay phone. When officers arrived at the phone, it was off the hook but no one was around.
The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Thursday included the following:
  • Two men staying at a campground refused to pay and also tried to hop a fence to use some hot springs.
  • Four alpacas were loose on Jackrabbit Lane at 7 a.m.

The Bozeman Police Department reports for Saturday included the following:
  • A woman was warned after officers observed her throw a man’s cellphone into the middle of Main Street during an argument just after midnight.
  • A small, very loud party was shut down by officers at 3:15 a.m. on Third Avenue.
  • A man flagged down an officer to find out when and where the bike auction was taking place.
  • A man was warned for driving a go-cart on Arnold Street at 5:15 p.m.
  • While responding to a loud party report at 9:40 p.m. on Bozeman Avenue, officers found 172 people sitting in the living room talking.

The Bozeman Police Department reports for Tuesday included the following:
  • A person reported seeing a black backpack and three cleaner bottles sitting on a stump.
  • A caller said a neighbor keeps calling in noise complaints on the caller, took the caller’s cat at one point and slipped threatening notes under the caller’s door.
  • An officer spoke with an unhappy “tax” paying man.
  • A possible vehicle crash was actually someone helping push a disabled car off the road.
  • An elderly man from Italy inadvertently hit a parked car when leaving a parking lot.
  • Officers warned a man for hiding in a business’ bushes while drinking High Gravity beer.
The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Tuesday included the following:
  • A caller reported seeing a car he thought looked like a fake cop car.
  • A deputy was advised that a soft-speaking gas station customer may have been intoxicated.

The Bozeman Police Department reports for Monday included the following:
  • A vehicle parked across the street from a woman’s house that she thought was suspicious was her neighbor’s vehicle.
  • A caller requested extra patrol on Beall Street after seeing a bunch of kids in the area stashing stuff in raspberry bushes.
  • Officers warned a woman for calling her ex-husband all the time.
  • An intoxicated woman reported being chased by a “fuzzy little white Shih Tzu dog.” The woman wanted to know if it was OK to pepper spray the dog if it chased her in the future.
  • A bush caught fire on the corner of Seventh Avenue and Villard Street.
  • Officers responded to 123 calls.
The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Monday included the following:
  • Extra patrol was requested on Milky Way Drive because kids have been playing in the water and putting mud “all over everything.”

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Sunday included the following:

  • A deputy checked on a man walking on Little Coyote Road around 2:45 a.m. He was fine and was just walking home.
  • Around 7 a.m., a man said he did not know how 911 was called because his phone was on the counter.
  • Someone planted wheat on a Clarkston Road woman’s property.
  • A caller saw 12 “bright orange orbs” moving parallel with the Bridger Mountains and thought it should be reported.
