Congratulations! Thanks for the update.
Doesn't the college there have a campus book store with electronics and advice on internet service?
You might check it out, as the students and faculty all need to have internet.

Happy new year in your new home!

H.I.

Hello all! I am looking to relocate from Southeastern Ohio to the Dillon area this summer for a new job. I love small towns and have been dreaming of a life in Montana for the last 20 years! Finally making my dream a reality I have noticed through my research that rentals seem sparse in the area. I imagine since I will be new to the area that buying a home right away would be difficult, and thus the search for a rental. I have been checking various sites, such as Carriage House Realty and the Dillon Tribune website. Any other advice? Oh and yes I did see someone mention contacting Ed, so I will keep that in mind. I am seeking a 4 bedroom home (three sons and they all want thier own room) that allows pets. Any input is greatly appreciated as I am eagerly awaiting being able to sip my coffee on my front porch while enjoying the blessings of a small town and all the beauty and splendor Montana has to offer!

Unhappy Looking for a rental in Dillion, but have 2 cats

Your post gives me some hope of finding a home in Dillon. I just haven't had any luck yet. I did go to Prudental, but haven't found anything yet. So far I have found that the moment you say I have a pet they shut you down. My two are well behaved and have never damaged any home I have lived in. I am suffering from shell shock at how small the town is. Just not sure what to do for a home. I have just been offered a job, so I have to get there soon. Worried, but trying to stay hopeful.

Ashley-
Since my last post I did successfully move to Dillon (have been here about a month) and I found my rental house on craigslist. However, there are lots of rentals in the Dillonite Daily which can be accessed through the link on the www.TodayInDillon.com | Dillon, Montana News Information Weather and Events website. Also the Dillon Tribune has online classifieds which have some rentals in them as well. Hope this information helps, and I have found the people of Dillon to be very friendly and welcoming - I have fallen in love with this little town

Dillon has many rentals because it is an old college town. The smaller houses and apartments are probably not advertised by much more than for rent sign in window and word of mouth. Summer is the best time to find one. There are many old big houses with mother in law cottages or converted garages, upstairs apartments etc. that have been college student rentals for decades. It is a nice little town.
