Montana has valleys where the people live for the most part and there are the mountains. What you are looking at is the dry flat valley where the town of Dillon sits. All around are mountains and that's what is shown in movies and all. By the way why do you bother to capitalize all of your words ? Just wondering !

Maybe so, but I sure wouldn't want to do that drive to Dillon to work every day! Especially in the winter. Also Wise River and Wisdom area are often the coldest temps in the nation. They have already dipped below freezing this summer in the last week or two.

South of Dillon along the Beaverhead River is nice land. Grasshopper Creek area. Also Poindexter Slough....although pretty much all private these days but there may be something for sale near there.

If you were to consider a little bit of a drive like say 28 miles or so, then you might look at Twin Bridges or another 8 miles away, Sheridan. They area beautiful valleys (Ruby Valley) and then going even farther north in the Jefferson Valley towards where I live is also quite beautiful with mountain views of the Tobacco Roots and the Jefferson River. There are places for sale in Twin, Sheridan and Waterloo all with nice acreage.

Good luck.....

lff

hi..looking to relocate in MT or Wyoming and Dillon seems to be fine place from what I can tell. Can anyone comment on the business climate there? Also, i'm interested in learning more about the schools in the area and why people either love it or not. Thanks.
