I agree with that, with the US as whole we only account for inbetween 7 and 10%, If only the rest of the world would just die from a plauge then at least I'd be happier. We wouldn't have to worry about immigration laws any more.

We could all save him and us some time by just dropping it all off at his house instead

The OP asked what a native Montanan was and until they find some kind of "Kennewick Man" in Montana I guess most of the folks here on the Flathead Reservation would say Indians are the natives.

Well I sure can't claim to be a native here as I came from San Diego. That place was great when I was a kid growing up there. I'm retired and on a fixed income now and if I didn't escape when I did ten years ago I would have starved to death or close to it !

Im not sure what to say when someone asks us if we are from here? My great grandfather homesteaded in Big Sandy and then raised my grampa in Missoula, so mom was from here till she met my dad. Then they married and raised us kids in Washington.Hubby and I moved here 10 yrs ago.So my roots are definatly here clear back but i myself was not born here.So what am I? LOL.

Human
Native, non-native this is an endless argument that I've seen on this board since joining and it's never been just left to die, people come along and try to stir things up and everyone joins in.
Tell me, truthfully WHO CARES? Does it really matter in the scope of things? Is it going to stop your ability to do anything or go anywhere? No, granted it may make people FEEL superior that they were born here, but it really means nothing except in this thread.....

I was born and raised on the coast of WA.I worked there, came to MT and worked here, then went to WA. and worked some more. I was going to retire on the coast, but to many Montanans, came seeking work, they stayed, bought the foreclosed dairy farms and built subdivisions. I figuared with so many Montanans living in WA., I might find a peaceful place in their state to retire. The darn problem is... They left their junkyards when they moved!!!
