The state is beautiful, cheap, and full of outdoor activities.

is there any downside?

Most of the beautiful part of the state is not cheap to live in for a working stiff and the wages are low across the board. Be careful about having a romantic view of the state and do your homework if you are considering a move there.

Oh im definitely not moving there. Think my wife would hate it. I think I would love to live just outside one of the bigger college towns/cities on lots of land and live the good life. However, if she is not happy the good life quickly becomes a bad one. A man can dream though.

One guy moved here..and his wife hated it here...I don't know why? Sure...no Nordstrom's? I don't know. But they left. He had a good job too. I don't get it....when I was married we moved often....and I just accepted it.

That is actually exactly the problem.

My wife is kinda a chic city girl. Not much of the rugged outdoor type.

Hey, im with you.

However, she would be pissed if I suggested she clothes shop at Walmart. Seriously clothing companies have a good racket going. Make cheap clothes and sell them for insane prices because their brand is good.

You've only been there a few months and you've already taken up the, "Im a local nobody else come here attitude?" Maybe you should practice what you preach and leave.

I'm from Montana and I got sick of that "I'm a local nobody else come here attitude."
