Default Too Bad

Leave Me Be I'm sorry you had such troubles in MT. I have lots of family all across the state and although many of us do see negatives of "outsiders" movin' in (this has been happening for a long time) - we are friendly too. Especially if you have a family or get involved with something local. Many of our relatives have had to move to find better jobs or just plain hate where they grew up (don't forget that). You will get a fair shake if you hang in there long enough. My peeps go back a long way and what they figure is you can't keep people out so it's best to educate folks on whats cool and whats not.

Hope you have a better time with it.

Stick to western Montana; it's more of a mix of people and more sophisticated. But Montana residents are not overy happy with people from all over (esp. Calif.) moving there and driving up the cost of everything, especially property. The Bitterroot Valley and Kalispel northward are great areas to live and raise a family or retire. Just ask anyone already there. And not nearly as cold in Winter as further East. Butte? I don't hear good reports about that area.

Not everone (and maybe no one) in Vermont or New Hampshire is going to wave at you on a back road, not in this day and age. Get over it. Some people are by nature friendly and others are more reserved (Sp. careful) True everywhere on earth.

Default Thank you JoeJoeMan

JoeJoeMan,
I LIKE YOUR RESPONSE. It is a great answer, and yes political correctness is getting way too old for every single person in this country. However, I must tell you that I give my life for this country. I love the U.S.A with all my heart, my soul, my mind, and every part of me that could and indeed indicates that this country means a lot to me. The U.S.A is the GREATEST NATION IN THE WORLD. I travel a lot to different countries for my work, and the more I see the more I understand that the American people must come together because there are plenty of people out there who hates the U.S.A just because it is the U.S.A. THAT'S NOT FAIR! I live in this country and have friends of all types, and proud of it. Of course, I get nervous from time to time because I am human. I asked because I know that the people writing in here don't write for some kind of organization, but from their true minds, hearts, and experiences. So the bottom line is that I love this country. I try to do the best I can to deserve the fact that I am here because NO ONE that comes to this nation should be allowed to destroy this country and bring some kind of chaos. There are plenty of Americans out there who go without many things, and this country MUST put its people first . I am here in this country, and must help this country because I don't expect things to come from other sources other than my solid efforts. So when I read your words and the other people's words, I cannot help it but to smile because this is the true America where people speak up their minds in a very civil manner. This country is a great example of what many parts of the world should be and are not. JoeJoeMan, thanks for your words!

But don't the sellers of the real estate set their own prices? It isn't the Califorians who do that...it's your own people.

I get the point you're trying to make, but the whole "it's not our fault, it's your fault" argument has been beaten to death.

It's sad really, to have people really think that of people in smaller towns. When in fact, most have seen a lot of world affairs and just want to retire from it. I don't mean get old and retire. I mean intellectually, go to some place that they are not placated with everybody else's troubles.

I spent a lot of years in the military and seen a lot of things. When I got out, I went home, to a place that I didn't have to visit the worlds problems. Just mine.

Thank you for those words toleran.....I'd have to say I love this country too, I just get upset when I see things going in a bad way at times....I guess that's because I care. That's probably why I trash our leaders and social trends so badly, because it just really ticks me off to see what they are and have done to this wonderful country we have.
Call me right or wrong, but I think one reason we are experiencing disrespect (if I can call it that) to our country and our way of live is because so many of the baby bummers don't have children and thus no inverstment in the future, they have alot less reason to worry about the world they leave behind, I speak from personal experience. As much as the baby-bummers would say otherwise, they (generally speaking) are selfindulgent and out for all they can get and be damn with the world they leave behind, and if they can finally screw over and ruin the 'establishment' before they go, so much the better they'll feel. They never got over that negative 'vibe' they had for the establishment, the establisment that told them they could smoke pot and screw in the field at Woodstock. They just never grew up or got over it. And yup I've got lots of friends like that.
