Dude Ranch Vacation In Montana?
Any suggestions for an East Coaster who wants a dude ranch experience in Montana for a 5 day vacation? - Time of year is totally flexible - just want to see it after living in Maryland forever

Royal Teton Ranch in Corwin Springs used to do a dude ranch experiance. Don't know if they still do. They are part of the Church Universal and Triumpent so if that doesn't bother you give them a call.

Montana horses does an annual horse drive in Three Forks every year. (400+ head) I can personally vouch for the owners, they are great. Google Montana Horses and check out their website. Click on the link that says last great American horse drive. Even if you aren't on the drive it's fun to check out when they go through town.

Slip and Slide ranch down north of Gardiner; they just do trail rides but you'll see some nice country. They break and train most all their stock so you'll be on something that is sound and trailwise. Lots of outfits don't spend near the time on their horses. I've ridden over most of the trails they use, and I can say that you'll sure learn a lot about the country up there - lots of critters and geology.

It's not MT, but it's just as beautiful . . . it's in the Big Horn Basin of Wyoming. I used to work there . . . Dude Ranch Vacations and Guest Ranch at Wyoming's largest working cattle ranch The HideOut.com. Awesome trail rides and lots of cattle work if you want to do that! VERY NICE place and good people.
