Apartments in Helena (motel, rental, job)

My husband just applied for a job in Helena. It is my job to search for good places to rent. I would love to buy a home rather than rent but I don't know how long we will be in the area. Any suggestions on good places to rent with reasonable rent... I need a 2 bedroom at least. Any help would be great.

Let an agent help you, It's really hard to rent a place long distance, or stay in a motel for a few days while you locate one.

Check out the classifieds @ Helena Independent Record too. That'll give you a good idea on what the going rate for rentals is here. The more "desirable" sections of town will have higher rents, but you should still be able to find something that would suit your needs. If you come across some specific locations / addresses that you'd like info on, just let me know.

In 1997-99 my husband and I rented in the "Claimstake" Apartments... 441 S. Park Ave. We had a 2br with additional loft space and really liked it there. My husband worked at the city/county building downtown and could walk to work. For that matter... being in our 20's we enjoyed being in walking distance of Millers and the Walking Mall... no need to drive after a saturday night out!
