It might come down to a fly in and put the boots to the ground, there will be places you need to see and get a feel for that you can not do while you are in Florida. Plus like posted there could be private rentals that are not listed online.

As for the boots - YIPPEE!! - I have some fab boots I've been draggin all over the place for years. Heavy, warm ones, fur ones. The idea of being able to wear them again is terrific. There is almost no wearin them down here and I'm so glad I held on to them. Still have a floor length wool coat but I don't have anything like the heavy parkas I assume ya'll wear. I've got time and will get one, for sure. Still have the old sweaters and scarves and such that I used up north. My husband suggested looking somewhere between Missoula and Polson. Keeps me close to medical going one way and fun & sun & fishin the other.

I think the fly-in plan is a smart one and will look into how quick I can do that. Hopefully I can find something in that locale. Can't thank everyone enough for all the great info. I'm sure as the time gets nearer that I'll have so many more questions.

Bless Ya'll

I haven't put on my bearpaws since washington..they're like manly uggs...ok there's nothing manly about them but they are comfortable. Kind of kicking myself for getting rid of my sub zero gortex boots. My feet used to sweat in those things anywhere above 15*
I'm flying to kali in nov. Cheapest flights I've found have been around 400 right into kali and back, which is extremely cheap. Average ticket prices are around 600-800 usually.

That seems like a good deal. Hopefully I can get there sometime before the end of the year. I don't really want to try flying in in Dec or Jan. I understand those are the most "wintery" months in that area.
