Young new resident of Helena...wanting to get connected... (club, night club)

I have recently moved (September 2007) to Helena, MT with my boyfriend, from North Dakota. I am working as a social worker in the community. Through this position I have met many people...but I would like to get connected with individuals around my age (I'm 22). Any recommendations on how to "make friends" in this lovely town?!!?

Join a club of some kind such as a ski club or a rock hounding group, or go on some group hiking or rafting trips if you're outdoorsy. If you two are goody two shoe types then maybe church would be a place to start. Then again if you are more of the partying types then maybe a little night clubbing would help ? Wish I could be of more help to you but my wife and I are old "Ma And Pa Kettle" types but we seem to meet a few new friends once in a while when we are kayaking on the rivers.

Thanks for your help. My boyfriend works at a server at a restuarant so he does fairly well in the "friend" department. We both do like to go out but I have an issue with finding my friends in a bar. Must be the social worker in me. Not much for church going. Thanks for your help...we'll have to try the outdoors suggestions
