Default B.A. Winans School in Livingston

Hi All,

Former Montanan here ... headed to Livingston. I've been away from MT for eight years (except for visits with family and friends in western mt) but I've been pining to get back We have a daughter that will be transitioning from Seattle to B.A. Winans school in Livingston. Does anyone have info to share? What are the elementary schools like? Is Sleeping Giant Middle School a positive place? How are the sports programs?

Okay, thats alot for now...

Thanks much!

Smile Winans Elementary

Winans is a good elementary school, and both teachers and students are down to earth, friendly people. I would vote Winans over East Side any day.
The middle school is nice, but I don't think it is nearly as friendly a place as Winans, with many teachers not being very open, friendly people.
Then on to Park High, it is an ok high school, but options for more advanced students are limited, as well as the schools overall atmosphere being rather depressing, not much school spirit, ect. However I can't say it's all bad, and there is supposed to be a comittee dedicated to fixing it up in the next few years.
So back to your original question, Winans is a very good school and you're daughter shouldn't have any problems fitting in.

Thanks so much for your reply. She just started a week or so ago and it seems like a very good fit. We've had a heck of a lot of wind but overall I think we're really going to like it here

Thanks again!
