NYMTMan, ever been to Buffalo? PLENTY of blizzards like that. We count on it every year so we don't have to go to school or work for a day. For two years straight we would get 7 feet in one day back in Amherst.

Lastly, I wanted to say I can't believe places like this exist. Unless they are just really good pictures, this is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I might have to switch my name to MontanaHereWeCome. I met an older woman on a train one day coming from Buffalo to Albany and she was from South Dakota. She used to live in Montana and told me "Don't move to Colorado - you would fit in perfectly in Montana" maybe I should take her up on that. All of these pics are wonderful, thanks so much for posting. I did not know places this beautiful actually existed.

lonely?
Wow, Montana looks so peaceful, don't you feel desolated sometimes?
One day I'll come and visit Montana and I hope is as beautiful as you show it in your pictures :-)

No Way! Give me a few decent folks spread out over a few miles, a fishing pole, a rifle, some tools and a way to get around and I'm happy. ( I do work in out of a shop in town, but I prefer the days in the backcountry or on farms/ranches.
Kind-of funny, but I get a bit freaked out in the big cities anymore. Never been a big crowd person.
Cities are ok to visit every now and again, but I'm usually ready to go after a day or two.
