Default Utica What the Hay contest

Some of this year's "What the Hay" contest. This is a great drive if you've never done it. At the half-way point there is a cafe set up under a tent with an assortment of foods to buy. Utica also has a day fair set up with many vendors.

Default I miss Montana!

Wow! I've been on CD for a few months and the Montana area is one I check into regularly because I'm a native Montana girl. But tonight I looked into the pics for the first time...

Born and raised in Missoula for 30+ years, then moved on to Denver and Spokane. And looking at the pics here makes me just as homesick for MT as the drive up from Denver to Missoula that I did a couple times every year. The closer I got to Montana, and especially Missoula with the country I knew and loved, the more it hurt and felt good! This brought the same feelings back again.

Thanks to everyone for the beautiful pics of so many places I recognize, either from actually seeing them in person or knowing they were a part of "my" state!

Due to a job relocation we'll soon be moving to Whidbey Island off the Washington Coast, which isn't a bad thing cause we love the ocean... but man do I get heartsick for Montana at times.
