Love those pics! I thought I'd share some of ours from NW Montana, driving to or from our property in Clark Fork, North Idaho. The first one was taken near Heron, and the second one is of the Clark Fork River from Highway 200.

AAH. Loved them all.
I remember the last time I was away from Missoula Montana chasing airplanes for work and the move A River Runs Through came out. I knew better than go to see it but I couldn't resist. A year later I left Boeing Wichita and headed back to Missoula Montana. I lived were some of the sceans in the move were shot and had fished a couple of those very places myself. But as luck would have it I was called out to be a traveling Aircraft Elec for these last few years till I gave up and retired to SSI.
Oh well, I'll be back this coming spring to finish out my days in The Big Sky Country of the mountains of the north and the west.

Wow, the second one is beautiful - looks like scenery in a movie.

GMan,
Those pic really capture the spirit of what remains of the Old West...the vastness, the brave history, the touch of melancholy, the beauty...
Thanks!

Default More NW MT pics

The first pic shows the flooding of the Bull River, in June this year. The second is from the Cabinet Wilderness, also in June, and the third pic was taken last October from somewhere on 200, probably between Ravalli and Paradise, looking north.
