People have chased them down and given them oats and pellets for free. They also met and camped on a place who's owner is the President of the Draft Horse Association of Montana.

But they will be hitting main roads soon. Once they leave Great Falls and go up through Conrad they'll probably use main toads.
Ah, good points.

North from Great Falls, there are good solid gravel roads north all the way to the Tiber Dam area and the Canadian border, if they wanted to go that way. All real ranch country, too.

Default Our Bozeman/Belgrade visit in April

We had a wonderful time in the Bozeman area in April. My DH and I drove to Utah from Florida, then on to Bozeman/Belgrade and on to South Dakota before heading home. It was beautiful as we drove up from snowy Utah through Idaho and Montana. Crisp and sunny when we arrived at the cute house we rented in Belgrade. Decided to go get groceries and in less than an hour of our arrival it was snowing sideways, hard and wet. We had wanted to see some snow before coming home and we really did. We just love the mountains and Montana. Here are just a few picts from our trip.

Tee hee, glad you got to experience the real thing Nice pictures. Reminds me of the days when a "vacation" always meant packing the whole family into the car and heading off to parts remote and unknown!
