Dang, 6 degrees out and crystal clear... Maybe we'll actually see some sun today. Hope everyone's prepped for snow supposedly all next week.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't want to be go too far east. I'm not much into the flatlands and I don't care to live too close to ND!
Peace and quiet, space, and a community that looks out for each other. That's all I hope for. I want to blend into the woodwork.
As for Jackson Hole, are you talking about Wyoming? (The only Jackson Hole I know of.) They used to be very near the top of my list but the celebrities have destroyed the place, causing the average property to go for $900,000. Can anyone but celebrities afford to live there? I'm not opposed to northwestern Wyoming at all, though. I'm researching towns there, too.

I thought about wearing shorts today. It's a blistering 16 degrees and it's snowing.

Simple Living - What's wrong with living close to North Dakota? Do they have something that's contagious?

Better bust out the sunscreen. When I came into work this morning, it was -14 w/windchill. (I say if it feels like -14, then it is -14!)

Oh, dadbud, that would require a topic derailment to end all topic derailments! To be honest, my feelings about ND are all personal ones and not worth your time to read. They're nothing that would -- or should -- ever affect anyone else's opinions or decisions to move there. Suffice it to say, that I make it a point to drive around the state. (No, I'm not wanted by the ND Police. )

Well it's just that about everything I read on North Dakota seems to describe a place that you were describing where you wanted to live. Then that leaves me to wonder what is wrong with North Dakota.

North Dakota and Western Montana are different worlds. Plus, I hear that North Dakotans have something contagious.
