The Griz
So what's the deal with the Griz this year? I heard they are 11-0 and still picked to lose this week. I didn't make it to Missoula for a game this year, have they just been playing cupcakes to rack up the win total or what?

Naw, they're doing great. They had a few easy opponents but also some tough games. Today's game with Wofford (it's halftime as I type) is going to go down to the wire, I think. Go Griz!

I'm not a sports fan, so I don't pay attention, and I just always got the impression that the Griz were good. Then someone explained it to me. Basicaly the UM football team plays a bunch of nobody teams from other schools, schools were nobody shows up to watch the game and their football teams are just an afterthought and don't even have decent stadiums to play in. So of course the Griz who take it really $ersious kick their butts....
It's kinda' like a bully beating up on the whimps on the block. Once you realize that the whole thing just seem so sillly and sad. Missoula/Mt takes so much pride in beating up pretty much helpless disinterested whimpy other teams.....I also heard that if UM ever has to go up in division it will be the death nail as they'd really have to start playing good teams for a change and then they'd start getting their butts handed to them.
Such is life in Missoula....were people are so full of themselves without any reall good reason. Where humility is always talked about but never practiced.

Yes, I totally agree with JoeJoaMan. For example, I used to live in Portland (which is home to the vikings), and when the vikings play in Portland there are more people from Missoula in the stands than people from Portland. Why? Well, nobody in Portland really cares about the crappy vikings, nor the division that they play in. People around here care more about PAC10 than anything else. And honestly, if the Griz ever had to play ANY team in the PAC10, they would lose. Nothing against them, but they're really no big deal.

I have no clue where you are coming from. The Griz have been in 5 national championship games in the last 12 years. Thats pretty good in my book.

But some of their players have made quite an impression on the local police lately!
While I enjoy a good game of football I do expect better behavior out of a college team than what we've been seeing out of the Griz players as of late. Drugs, robbery and if I remember correctly a murder not too long ago. Makes you wonder where they're doing the recruiting, San Quentin?
