Sorry fellas I have to jab.
If I was from CA I'd probably want to get the hell out too, but if you were from where I am you would probably resent Californians... The CA "refugee" migration has needlessly decreased the quality of life for many Montanans.
Is that what they call Californication?? I was born here, not by choice... kinda like when somebody knows they're in the wrong era...I'm in the wrong area... LOL

Ya all wanna hear a good one about illegal immigration???

I lived in New Mexico for a few years. I heard a story one day about one of the Border towns, Columbus. Apparently some future darwin award recipient crossed illegaly from Mexicio into Columbus. Being thirsty from his sojurn in the desert, he approached a local residence. He knocked
on the door and explained to the person answering that he had just crossed into the good
ol USof A and was thirsty from wandering in the desert. The largest problem with his little plan was
that the residence he chose happened to be the Cheif of the Border Patrol OOPS LOL. The guy wasnt even from Mexico, he was middle eastern

What is scary about this is that the guy may have had an agenda and getting a better life and a job here may not have been on the agenda.

Our Gov. is ignoring the problem we have with the Illegals. I am a firm believer that they want to have as many come into this country as possible and beat the middle class wages down to nothing. Which in return eliminates the middle class.Which is one of their goals. We have such high unemployment and just think how many jobs would come available if they (Gov.) wouyld send all illegals back to where they came from. The only one who would have a tough time with this is the owners of the companies that would now have to go back and pay a fair wage to real Americans. Greed is destroyinmg this once was great country, simple as that..... You who know companies who hire these illegals, why dont you make a visit to these places. Soon I think we will have to handle it ourselves, cause our Gov. doesnt.

Thankfully MT has a response to this type of thing with new gun legislation that looks to be passed soon (hopefully).

The bill, sponsored by Rep. Krayton Kerns, R-Laurel, is almost identical to a bill carried by then-Rep. Jack Wells, R-Bozeman, in the 2007 session.

If passed, the bill would, among other things:

= allow people to carry a concealed weapon without a permit;

= greatly strengthen self-defense protections in the state;

= allow people to display their gun to deter an attack;

= allow people to use a gun whenever at risk of physical harm;

= and, in shooting incidents in which the person who fired the gun claimed self defense, require the state to prove that it was not.
(Imagine that, actually being presumed innocent here in the good 'ol US of A...)

i don't want to get into a gun control debate. i believe it's our right to protect ourselves. but i don't see how allowing people to carry a concealed weapon without a permit would make anyone safer. the opposite maybe.

the fact is that there are a lot more people who don't know how to handle a weapon properly than there are people who know what they're doing. i think this law would only increase the number of unqualified, untrained idiots who are armed. and that's something that everyone should be concerned about.
