Default teton County info

Hello,
I am hoping to get some assistance if anyone can help that would be great.
My family is looking to move to Montana from Pennsylvainia. We have always thought about moving out there and think we may finnally have the nerve to do it.But I need some inside information. I was likeing the teton county area, want a small town, with small schools. Friendly neighbors. ultimatly we want to get a small farm and take care of ourselves. But unfortunatly we dont have good credit, managed to screw that up when we were teens and early twenties. We always pay our rent, we do have a dog who is house trained and stays in a cage when were not home.
It is so hard to find places when you are so far away. We would live in a small town to start with and hopefully once we are established find the place we have dreamed of, with room to plant, have a few animals and be self sufficent. If anyone has a web site, name or phone numbers or any information that would assist me in finding a home for my family it would be wonderful.
Thanks so much and God bless

Is Teton County your final decision? Have you visited there? If you answer yes to both of these, go to www.tetoncomt.org for more info. Be aware that Teton County can be very windy, if that is a concern for you. Know your water situation too, especially well depth and GPM. Choteau and Fairfield are the bigger towns there. I know that our new superintendent in our town came from Dutton/Power. These smaller schools on the front do struggle as do most of the rural schools in Montana. You are close to Great Falls for shopping and such. Go to http://www.gtfar.com/html/public/GFARsearchindex.html to check out local real estate listings. If you are going to rent first, there are not many rentals in these towns, but the local papers: http://www.choteauacantha.com/ and http://www.greatfallstribune.com/app....dll/frontpage may help you get to to know the area and opportunities better.

Whatever you decide, do your homework and look at all of your options in Montana. Montana is a diverse country--It's bigger than most countries!

Thanks for the info , no that is not our final decision, but we sorta just closed our eyes and pointed, lol. Sounds crazy I know, but we dont want to live in a big city, but would like to be close to one so that i may work. We are prob going to rent first, and try later to find something to buy. I like the smaller schools, our kids have always went to smaller schools being as we have always kinda lived in pa smaller towns. I dont know much about montana but am leraning as i go. thanks so much for your information i will be certain to check out those sites.
