I've just finished my undergraduate degree and am a qualified Nurse. I wish to move to montana but don't know exactly where I should go. I would like to live in a small town that has or is near a town that has a hospital. If you have any suggestions, it would greatly be apprecited.
Thank you. -Lynette |

Columbia Falls area is close to 2 hospitals that are pretty much always looking for nurses....

Helena is the capital and a very clean quaint town of 30K people.
They have 2 hospitals a VA and a ST Pat's. My brother works at St. Pats as a pharamcist and loves it. You may want to look into it. |

I guess one should ask how small is "small" to you and what other things are you looking for besides small?

Well, small to me would be about 2000 or 3000 people. I come from a small town in Ontario so I would like he same type of feel. Other than a small town near a hospital, my only criteria would be someplace with not too many tourists. Harsh winter's aren't a problem, I've beenliving in Ottawa for the past 4 years and it gets pretty cold up here.
I appreciate all your suggestions. Thanks. -Lynette Last edited by lrive021; 01-08-2008 at 12:37 PM. |

There are a few small hospitals in Western Montana that you should look at when you visit Columbia Falls. There is a nice one in Polson on Flathead Lake, one in Plains-nice little valley, Ronan-Mission Mountians, check those ones out too. All are in smaller towns and pretty areas.

Also check out the newspapers for Montana, The Montana Standard posts nursing positions daily. Not all are in Hospitals, wide variety of others seeking nurses as well.
