Horse people in Sidney, MT?
My husband has taken a job in Sidney, MT. We are in our early 50's, and are quite accostumed to living in small towns in the West. I am an active horsewoman, and have been active in a "posse", or horse-back riding precision drill team for the last 5 years. Are there any mounted drill teams in or around Sidney? How are the conditions in the area for keeping horses? How much acreage do I need per horse? Are there poisonous plants in the area I should avoid? Is one part of town better for healthy pastures/water than another (we will look to buy or build a house & barn). Any suggestions on home buying?
