Taking the train to northern Montana and I need to rent a car to drive up to Alberta. Does anyone know of an Amtrak stop that has a car rental office in town?

Thanks in advance.

Most Car Rental Places will pick you up. (With a reservation)

Once you get in you call them, they come over and get you, take you back to there office, where you do the paperwork, or drop the driver off.

For Alberta, I'd say Glasgow is your best bet. I've seen an ad for Budget there. There is an airport that gets commuter flights for oilfield workers so that explains it. I'm not sure about Havre. Otherwise you'll need get closer to Glacier Park.

Cut Bank has two possibilities you might want to check into:

Rental Cars
Bell Motors, 121 E Main Street, 406-873-5515 or 1-800-823-2355
Northern Ford, 120 W Main Street, 406-873-5541 or 1-800-823-1234

I had checked into this a couple years back and recall Whitefish having an Avis office near the train station. West Glacier also had an Avis office but the cost was much, much higher than picking up the car in Whitefish.
