Question Helena....time to buy real estate?
What time is better to buy a home in Helena? We are going to buy a home....but don't know if we should wait until summer (after we figure out what area is better) and rent or just buy when we move up there.

Any help would be great!

Define better time. 2 years ago, 5 years ago.....great time to buy cause it has only gotten more expensive. I am so glad I bought my house when I did (2 years ago) because if I tried to buy it now it would probably be about $50,000 more. It really depends on your expectations and what you are looking for. Best time to buy real estate...is when you are ready. If you can swing it financially and know what you want, that is when you want to buy.

The slow down has not (and may not) hit Helena but I do think now is a good time for the buyer. Those who are selling might take a little less.
