Post Cold Air

I was looking at the wind chill readings in northern areas of Montana this morning and they were in the -40F to -55F range Stay warm out there, and report the current temperature and wind chill if you want.

Yesterday was definately interesting in the Flathead! White out conditions most of the day, driving was really fun where at times you crossed your fingers and hoped no one was dumb enough to stop in the middle of the snow cloud since you couldn't see but about a car lenth ahead. I only had to dodge 2 idiots,(probably not local) in town who stopped to talk to each other in the slow lane thinking that there was parking along the side of the road which is a 4 lane highway with no space for parking. Needless to say the road was iced over so it was a guess your lane day. The Wind was runing about 30++ mph in places and I believe it got around -30 to -40 at times. I don't think we ever broke 8 degrees without wind and hovered around 3 for most of the day.
We'll see what happens today, roads around me are now ice/hard pack and we're supposed to get more snow today and for the rest of the week.

Here in Hot Springs it's 7 above and it's supposed to get up to 26 above this afternoon.
It was sunny all day yesterday here and areas just north and south of us got trashed.

Lucky you... It's still snowing here. We're supposed to get a heat wave either tomorrow or Thursday, it's going to be 20 degrees!!!
