It's a gated community south of Big Sky. Multi-Million dollar homes and I believe you have to prove you are worth X amount before you can even apply to buy an empty lot in there. Private skiing (Including a lift system) Golf, Equestrian center etc..
I believe they have a website.
Lots of celebrities, politicians, and forbes list businesspeople in there.

Sounds alot like what is planned for Big oh, excuse me "whitefish" mountain. I'm told the plan in the next couple of years to make it a private ski club. Love to know how since over half of it is federal forest land, but I'm sure they'll find a way. There's always a way if you have enough money.

The guy who started the Yellowstone club was a logging magnate from Oregon or Washington I think. (Not sure on that one)
Google the Yellowstone Club and I'm sure you'd find a lot of info.

Thanks for the replys
Thanks for the leads, found some sites, mostly propaganda you know, but there was a link to the local paper, seems mr. moneybags is in the mist of a divorce and the mrs. is running him through the ringer, (I smell a younger woman ). His name did not seen familar, I thought he might be of the Pope family, big timber in oregon. I cannot believe the buy in fee, quarter of a million. You should see what people were buying the loft condos for in Downtown Portland so nothing suprises me anymore. Has montana been able to do anything to prevent this type of sale? Oregon has all types of goofy measures now but they have only server to fubar everything. I know them darn outsiders . Our little town has doubled in population in 10 years, and when we got THREE starbucks in 2 years, well ma we have packed the wagon, not exactly grapes of wrath style, but I do not want to bleach my hair or wear clothes that we made for someone 20 years my junior and tell myself that the sagging skin does not show. I knew it was all going to hell when native born oregonians started to go to tanning salons

LOL!! I can honestly say I've never stepped foot in a tanning salon!
As for the club,
I'm not sure what the regulations are on buy in fees, etc... I am sure that it would be extremely costly to try to get these guys to abide by any regulations. They blocked off a stream years ago and just paid the EPA fines without a blink. Plus I know of 4 -5 top wall street execs and at least one ex-president that are members.

Yes and there will be a $250,000 assimilation fee. If one can't afford the fee they will be escorted to the soylent green production chambers for processing !!!
When poop becomes valuable poor folks will be born without poopers !
