Default Nuke Silos

I've seen some sites that show old nuke silos that have been converted into homes. I know Montana has current nuke silos but does anything know if there are old deactivated silos in MT that might be for sale?

I lived down in South Dakota when they were selling some of those. In about 1989 they announced that it was finished, there would be no more sales. Not sure if that applied to all in the network, which Montana is part of, or if it was just the silo's in South Dakota.

I know a couple that bought one. It is really nice. They put about $60,000. into it and it's fantastic. Plus, being all underground, weather is not a factor, except for your vehicles. My friend build a pole barn (post frame steel skin) and kept it heated. A little costly so he build a 24x32 for a two car garage with a small work area up front. Much easier to keep heated at a lot less cost. But it looks funny. He'll have a party and there will be 20 vehicles parked in the yard. A barn, a garage, and but no house visible.

Hahahaha. I bet thats quite the sight

They're also supposed to be really great on heating and cooling bills too since it's usually a pretty constant temp underground.

I was hoping that even if the gov. isn't selling old ones anymore that maybe there were some for sale at one time in MT. Maybe someone has one's they'd want to sell.
