Can anyone describe the different areas in SW Montana and their main differences? Is Darby that much different than Lolo, etc., weather /people. We want to relocate to the Bitterroot/Missoula area, but can't decide. We need to be fairly close to an airport but are not attracted to the "hang around the university but not a student" type.

Lolo is right in close to Missoula and Darby is way up toward the high end of the Bitterroot Valley, a world of difference. You wouldn't want to commute but a few do I guess. Darby is a tiny little place really. I would highly recommend visiting before moving if you've never been in those towns before !
