Just bring a fork and a napkin!!! Though it can be hard to stab them little suckers since they tend to roll.... The only hard job is picking 'em so they can be cooked
Nothing suprises me here anymore, what do you expect when they have couch and barstool races... Sometimes it does get a little boring here

offbeat things
We got invited to a new event for me since relocating to MT. Our neighbor invited us to a "burn-barrel" party. First day of burn season last week.
Sitting in 20s weather, burning cardboard, paper goods, scraps....drinking wine and beer.......then trying to sled on the hill.....woo hoo.....cheap,easy fun.
Well 1/2 of us has relocated anyway...hubby looking for job (several apps in) and I get to work here (see above) for now.....My heart is in MT though.

Running of the sheep in Reed point, don't wear good shoes ;
Old abandoned mine exploreation on your own;
Driving a 4X4 up to a fire lookout mountain top in winter;
Fishing for giant Macs from a skimpy little kayak;
rockhounding or gem hunting in the mountains;
Go to a small county fair rodeo and put a buzz on !

10-4 on the sheep run in Reed Point. We want to check that out sometime--we've heard about it for years. It's like the Pamplona of MT, but shorter and fluffier LOL!
My list of unusual things to do includes picking foot shaped rocks at the St. John's landing on the Clark Fork River west of Alberton. Walking the shoreline of Lake Koocanusa from the Tobacco Plains landing--it's like having your own beach property!

Hey!! How about playing Butt-Darts!! yes, it's true folks...you don't use darts but you do try to throw an object with your butt and land on points..hence, the name butt-darts...I betcha someone came up with that game on those longs winter nights!!

Charlo too. But the best way is to be invited to your neighbor rancher's family/friend picnic and have them as an appetizer

I've been to the Testicle Festival for several years. Yes, it's real and it's a madhouse. You won't belive how crazy it gets. Such a diverse mix and it's packed with people partying it up. Everything from the Bandidos motorcycle club to nudists bellying up to the bar (apparently, it's an annual trek for a bunch of nudists cuz they're allowed to roam around in their birthday suits). Mind your Q's and you'll get along great. Definitely one of the wildest parties you'll ever go to.
Here's a tip-->don't park too close if you want to leave. Otherwise, your vehicle will be stuck there for the entire time as there are so many people/vehicles etc you won't be able to get out.
Enjoy the Rocky Mountain Oysters!!
