Roundup
We are relocating from Michigan this summer and are looking into the town of Roundup as a place to settle. I have found a house for sale at 259 Roland. Does anyone know the road or anything about the area? I haven't contacted the realtor yet as I would like to get information from some people who live in the area first before I speak with him. How are the schools, are there any stores, nursing homes, hospital? What about the water supply, is that a problem? How far from Billings? I'm not sure where in Roundup this house is located but it is on 20 acres and is listed with Boucher & Associates. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Roland road is about 6 miles SouthWest of Roundup. Not a bad area. Really pretty.
Here's the data on Roundup, should give you the info your looking for.

i dont live there but will tell you what i know.its about 50 miles to billings.i seem to recall them having a small hospital and nursing home.they have stores, bars, churches, and a few places to eat.most big shopping would be in billings to the south. population is around 2000 and just kind of staying there.there is one big school building for all the grades.the terrain varies a lot within a few miles in that area from open prarie to pine forest.a fair amount that was pine forest burned down over the years and is now prairie.it is a rather pretty area in general.there is a big coal mine south of town which has been closed a good bit of the time and i believe is currently closed.the roundup chamber of commerce website has some good local realestate links and if you do a websearch there is a website where you can read the local paper online.

I currently live in Roundup. It is a great small town, the coal mine is open and going full-steam, they recently built a railroad to Broadview to haul and distribute the coal. It is definitely what you think about when you think of a small western town.

Roundup itself is a nice little western town. As to the address noted, check the terrain on google maps, looks like it's very rugged, right at the end of the road, might only have seasonal access.
