I am absolutely blown away that so many Americans actually feel this way.

They think a U.S. Senator threatening and physically assaulting a member of the free press is "funny". What the hell happened to this country?

Why is a violent assault on the First Amendment "funny"?

So if we don't see a minor scuffle as an assault on the constitution, it "deplorable", but if one of your frothing at the mouth social justice warriors attempts to assassinate a sitting congressman and wounds several other people, that's OK?

Get some perspective. A bloody nose is not that big a deal.

Your side is loosing elections in part because of this unending litany of petty attacks, while ignoring substantive serious issues.

If you want to start winning again, get a message, get a platform, get off your high horse, and most importantly, get a grip.

Unfortunately, I do, since I live in the same country as you, and the people you elect impact my family's daily life.

What the hell are you talking about? Who said your fantasy scenario was OK?

And you're lying anyways. There is no Senator in U.S. history who has ever attempted to assassinate a sitting congressman.

Yeah, it's only a U.S. Senator threatening and physically assaulting a member of the free press; the kind of stuff they do in Russia, North Korea, Syria and the like. It's only the First Amendment, no big deal. In fact it's "funny" according to some in this thread.

"My side" is losing elections because a Republican Senator violently assaulted a member of the free press?

I'm an Independent, BTW. I didn't vote for a Rep or Dem in the last election. "My side" is America.

I have no idea what any of this nonsense means, or how it's relevant to people thinking it's "funny" that a U. S. senator is assaulting members of the press.

What do you mean by "get a message, get a platform" The U.S. just elected a President who is a total idiot and who has no message or platform, outside of "Mexicans are rapists and murderers", "MAGA", "Grab em in the p----" and "Build the Wall". He could be hardly more idiotic.

Your answer perfectly defines my position. Being deliberately obtuse doesn't indicate your intelligence or wit, instead it simply underlines the divide this country faces between those that blow minor incidents into constitutional crisis, while ignoring an attempted assassination attempt by one of the mindless leftist idiots that buy into the DNC hyperbolic pabulum.

Montana and Montanans are doing fine.
You should pay more attention to the murder rate in New Orleans, Louisiana, (NOLA).

Take care of your own backyard messes before you worry about ours.

"Independent"? I don't think so. If it walks like a democrat duck, quacks like a democrat duck, and spews democrat talking points like a democrat duck, I don't have to see the excrement to know it's a democrat.

The far right in this country is evolving into something truly terrifying. Many of them now have little or no respect for the norms if a free society.

It is very instructive watching liberals raging about a "body slam" scuffle with a reporter, but remain largely silent on a leftist Bernie supporter attempting to assassinate Republican senators.

Actions speak louder than words, as always.
