Default Miles City, MT

My husband and I are possibly relocating to Miles City, MT and were wondering if anyone could give us some information about the place. Cost of living, topography, career opportunities for me (school counselor), etc. Thanks for all the help!

I wouldn't recommend anyone relocate to Miles City unless they have visited the area and knew what they are getting into. It's a tough place to live.

As far as school counseler positions, you can probably count the number of schools in Miles City. You'll have one or two counselers in each school, so I'd guess no more than 5 or 6 positions for the city.

Miles City is on the dry part of the state. Miles City doesn't look anything like the traditional Montana photographs of trees and lakes that you may have seen, as those pictures are taken on the Western part of the state. It's about 8+ hours drive time to get to the western part of the state from Milesc City. I've attached a picture of a street in Miles City.

Hope that answers your questions.
