Interested in hearing any comments regarding the current Weather Inversions plaguing the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys.
Particularly comments from new transplants from other states.

Up here in the Flathead. It really sucks, I want snow. The air quality probably isn't great, but it's nowhere near as bad as last summer. Still code green level air quality up here.

Flathead Valley is pretty brutal right now, and no snow since late Oct. Ordered a 'happy light' to use at the office ... this past week of weather reminds me of that movie 'The Road' ... cold, gray, gloomy.

Might be worth the enduring crap conditions at Big Mtn just to get my face in the sun for a bit...

Helena gets the inversions too, but the sky will be clear, just the temps get stuck down in the teens and stay there while folks around us are in the 40s

Need a little wind to get rid of it, although it snowed today, it's clearing now so going to be cold tonight!

This is a big reason why we left the Flathead and moved to SW Colorado... those inversions suck, and last most of the winter.. then the wildfires in the summer.

Aint gonna lie though, I am jealous looking at the webcams at Whitefish the last few days... clear skies and tons on new snow. Meanwhile, its a semi- brown Christmas here... many long timers don't remember that last time we didn't have a true white Christmas in these parts (there's a few inches in the town of Pagosa, but none at my house 15 miles south of town).

The inversions gave and we got pummeled with heavy snow. A foot and a half in the valley with several feet on Big Mountain. More snow on the way this week.

Anyone in Montana complaining about inversions? Just tell yourself... "Oh well, at least its not as bad as Salt Lake City"

It will make you feel better.
